I WISH I had been able to take a picture of the pond on my way to work Tuesday morning. It had rained for 2 days straight, and there were - no joke - 40 to 50 wild ducks on the pond. I have never seen this many ducks together. They weren't there when I got home from work, or the next morning, so I guess they just made a stop on their way further south. It was quite a sight, and they didn't even fly away as I drove by, about 100 feet from them. The ones in the water just started swimming to the other side of the pond.
I can't wait to see what other birds decide to hang out at the pond this winter and this spring :)

Sooooo, the spammers have finally discovered my blog. I'm not sure if that means I've 'made it', but it does mean that I have turned on comment moderation for my older posts. Don't worry though, I get the notifications quickly, and promise to read and publish anything that doesn't include random comments or suspicious links.

Trust me if they hang around you will quickly come to not like those ducks haha. I teach tennis in a part for the summer the ducks are a pain in the ass!
ReplyDeleteThey were only there for one morning. I'm down to the 5 or 6 that have been hanging out on a regular basis. It's going to be interesting this spring when the Canadian Geese come through. They tend to stay a while.
