I WISH I had been able to take a picture of the pond on my way to work Tuesday morning. It had rained for 2 days straight, and there were - no joke - 40 to 50 wild ducks on the pond.  I have never seen this many ducks together.  They weren't there when I got home from work, or the next morning, so I guess they just made a stop on their way further south.  It was quite a sight, and they didn't even fly away as I drove by, about 100 feet from them.  The ones in the water just started swimming to the other side of the pond.

I can't wait to see what other birds decide to hang out at the pond this winter and this spring :)

  1. Trust me if they hang around you will quickly come to not like those ducks haha. I teach tennis in a part for the summer the ducks are a pain in the ass!

  2. They were only there for one morning. I'm down to the 5 or 6 that have been hanging out on a regular basis. It's going to be interesting this spring when the Canadian Geese come through. They tend to stay a while.

Sooooo, the spammers have finally discovered my blog. I'm not sure if that means I've 'made it', but it does mean that I have turned on comment moderation for my older posts. Don't worry though, I get the notifications quickly, and promise to read and publish anything that doesn't include random comments or suspicious links.
