just a pretty picture... or three

When I moved into my house, spring was just about the only season I had flowers blooming.  (A rogue lawn crew has been known to mow my front yard without my asking, how rude.)  Fast forward to my 3rd fall in the house, and I finally have wildflowers blooming.  It makes me happy.

Goldenrod and unidentified Wild Aster, possibly Late Blooming Purple
Blue Mistflower from our fall plant swap.

Not a wildflower, but my baby rose, Cramoisi Superieur.
Happy Thursday.

  1. Emily Rose it was a joy to see your wildflowers...I love mine and cultivate mostly native plants now.

    1. Thanks Donna! I love that they are so happy and carefree. My goal is to build my garden so that it's composed of mostly native and old fashioned plants.

We are enjoying goldenrod and other wildflowers, too.
    Have a great day!

    1. Thanks Lea! It's doing much better than the one I was really hoping would take off. It's always that way I guess. :)

  3. The blue mistflower is intriguing --- not something I see growing in my region (Denver). It reminds me a bit of ageratum.

Sooooo, the spammers have finally discovered my blog. I'm not sure if that means I've 'made it', but it does mean that I have turned on comment moderation for my older posts. Don't worry though, I get the notifications quickly, and promise to read and publish anything that doesn't include random comments or suspicious links.
