This is the post where I document blooms and also remind my future self that just because the daffodils are blooming, it doesn't mean that winter is over.
 |
2/14/15 - first blooms |
 |
2/15/15 - single digit temperatures are coming,
so I brought the blooms inside |
|
 |
2/26/15 - up to 10 inches of snow in spots |
Come on spring, I'm ready!
Good morning Emily!
ReplyDeleteIt has been that kind of winter here, too. It is 6:00am, still dark outside. I just got up, checked the weather, current conditions: SNOW! But I can hear ping, ping, ping against the windows: SLEET!
My Daffs and Hellebores were fine after last week's 4 inch snow, but I don't know how they will do with sleet. Forecast high today is 31F. I'll be staying inside, except to feed the birds. I have a new really easy chicken tortilla soup recipe to try out. Today is the perfect day for it.
Be safe and stay warm
Lea
Oh my, that's a lot of snow coming right after daffodil blooms! In North Carolina, we usually got a dusting right after the daffodils started blooming, but not that much!
