I looked them up, and apparently they are native to the mountains of the southeast. The early settlers used it as a substitute for ginger, and apparently it has some medicinal value too._emily_rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08044004465736417388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-143376326999360810.post-20183373722952628362013-05-16T08:24:13.396-04:002013-05-16T08:24:13.396-04:00Thanks Lea, I need to take a full size picture of ...Thanks Lea, I need to take a full size picture of the Rhododendron soon, so we can keep up with how much its growing!_emily_rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08044004465736417388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-143376326999360810.post-27183832442741856892013-05-15T18:40:20.453-04:002013-05-15T18:40:20.453-04:00Those little brown jugs are so interesting! I'd say less than 4 hours of sun a day, and most of that is filtered. The good news is that it is planted in a hollow tree stump, so if it needs to be moved, it should be fairly easy to do. My house is in the process of being painted, so when that work is done I may consider moving it. Thanks for all of your help!! _emily_rosehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08044004465736417388noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-143376326999360810.post-53748598493141100762013-05-15T11:19:36.046-04:002013-05-15T11:19:36.046-04:00I'm so glad to have helped! (Not sure it's a Tea ... but we'll see what we can do for an ID once it grows out a bit more.) Let me know when you have flowers on the other one.Connie in Hartwoodhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09127877285792861166noreply@blogger.com
